Common questions

Does ROVUN keep recording when my phone locks?

ROVUN is designed to continue recording an active run using background location access when the necessary permissions and device configuration allow it.

Recording can be affected by system restrictions, permissions, battery conditions, GPS availability, or app interruptions. Force-quitting the app or turning off the phone stops continuous recording.

Is my location public?

Your full saved route is not part of the public world response. However, claimed streets, territory changes, and activity timestamps can reveal where and approximately when you run.

Review the Privacy Policy before using shared territory features.

Are my run notes and photos public?

In the current app, private run notes and before/after photos are stored locally and are not included in territory-backend uploads.

If you choose to share content, the recipient receives whatever is included in that export.

Does signing out delete my information?

No. Signing out removes the active sign-in session. It does not delete your account or backend records.

What happens to workouts sent to Apple Health?

Workouts written to Apple Health remain subject to your Apple Health settings. Signing out of ROVUN or uninstalling it does not automatically remove those workouts.

Use Apple Health to review or manage information already written there.

Does claiming a street give me any real-world rights?

No. Territory is a virtual competition feature. It does not grant property ownership, access rights, or control over public spaces.
